Cast iron radiator and stove collection & delivery services
Delivery information
We take great care in ensuring your items arrive safely and on time. Please find details below regarding our delivery methods, costs, and lead times. If your order includes a combination of radiators and stoves, or exceeds the standard pallet limits, we’ll provide a tailored delivery quote.
Radiator delivery
Radiators are delivered via a secure pallet delivery service. The standard delivery cost is £126, which covers up to five radiators on a single pallet, provided each radiator is under 120cm in length.
Radiators over 120cm in length require a double pallet, due to their size and weight. In this case, the delivery cost is £252.
This flat-rate delivery charge includes nationwide delivery to most mainland UK addresses. If your order meets the above criteria, you can take advantage of this cost-effective solution, whether you're purchasing one radiator or five.
Stove delivery
We offer a flat-rate delivery service for stoves at £75. Each stove is securely packaged on its own pallet to ensure safe arrival, ready for installation.
Delivery lead time
The estimated delivery lead time for both radiators and stoves is approximately 4 working days from the date of dispatch. Once your order is ready, we’ll confirm the dispatch date with you directly.
Important information
Cast iron radiators are very heavy. You should always give this consideration when buying or repairing cast iron radiators. Here in our workshop, we have all the heavy lifting equipment necessary but the simple fact is that your home is an entirely different scenario. You will need to plan ahead and have the appropriate assistance on hand to help you move your radiators. In the case of larger radiators, this can mean a minimum of four people.
Unless otherwise arranged, delivery or collection of a customer order will be undertaken by a third party kerbside palletised courier. Vintage Cast Iron Radiators can instruct a delivery company on your behalf but cannot be held responsible for any subsequent damage and or loss of goods by this third party. This includes but is not limited to any consequential expenses such as a fitting or labour costs.
Palletised deliveries are undertaken by an independent haulage company using a HGV. The haulage company will attempt to deliver or collect the pallet(s) to the closest kerbside of your property. The drivers are unable to remove items from the pallet, or to carry items into a customer’s property due to their insurance. If there is restricted access to a vehicle over 7.5tonne then the customer must make this clear in writing before delivery is arranged.
The third party courier delivery times are between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday. Subject to availability, timed and/or Saturday deliveries can be arranged at an additional charge.
Where collection or delivery is agreed the third party courier will only be responsible for collection and delivery of item(s) to and from the nearest safe and legal point of a public highway or suitable private road (with permission from the owner) to the delivery address.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the point of delivery/collection is suitable for their choice of purchase – i.e. that the item can be safely delivered to that point without causing risk of injury to any person.
The customer must make sure there is someone in the house on the agreed delivery date and be available to answer any phone calls from the courier company or Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd. Failure to do so may incur an additional redelivery charge of the agreed original delivery cost.
No refunds for either goods or delivery charges will be given in the event of unsuitable or unsafe access.
All goods must be checked and signed for in the presence of the carrier.
On our part, Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd will ensure that goods are delivered in good order and cannot accept any responsibility for any damages that occur during or after delivery. Signing of the delivery note will be determined as acceptance that goods have been delivered in good order at the time of delivery
All goods must be inspected once removed from the packaging. Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd must be notified within 48 hours of delivery of any shortages, scratches, blemishes or other damage. Imperfect radiators should, therefore, not be fitted. We will not accept responsibility for replacement of scratched or damaged radiators once they have been fitted. This includes any consequential loss or cost arising from the fitting. If Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd are not notified within 48 hours of the date on the signed delivery note then it will be deemed that Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd have fully complied with its obligations and claims will not be considered.
Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd cannot be held responsible for faults or incidents caused by third-party couriers.
Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd accepts no responsibility for services provided by third-party couriers and the customer will be responsible for any liaison or negotiation with such.
In some cases, Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd may introduce or signpost the customer to a third-party assisted courier service. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that such third party carries suitable insurance, etc.
When preparing your own cast iron radiators for collection we request that you place the radiators on their side on top of a wooden pallet. Use the full width of the pallet by laying radiators side by side on the pallet whenever possible. If you are sending more than one radiator, place cardboard between each to minimise the chance of them wedging together.
You will be charged per pallet so make sure that you make the best use of every pallet, e.g. stack radiators on one pallet whenever possible (we do not recommend you stack your radiators more than 4 or 5 high per pallet).
Upon collection, if it is deemed that additional pallets are required or the size of the load exceeds the maximum dimensions of a single pallet load then the customer will be liable for any additional costs incurred.
We would ask that your pallet is in good or reasonable condition so that a pallet truck or forklift can access the underneath of it to easily lift it on and off a delivery truck.
Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd will not be liable for any subsequent damage to improperly prepared radiators.
Should a personal delivery be arranged, Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd staff reserve the right to refuse to continue with collection or delivery or assistance in collection or delivery if they suspect the risk of injury to any person should delivery continue past that point.
Although we are happy to consider helping you get your radiator to and from the exact point you require this is entirely at your risk and our own discretion; it must not be viewed as part of the delivery or collection service
The customer will be responsible for ensuring adequate assistance is available at the point of collection and delivery
Vintage Cast Iron Radiators Ltd cannot carry radiators into customers’ homes, and adequate arrangements must be made by the customer to do so
